No. The majority of insurance companies sadly do not pay for this type of group therapy services. We keep our membership fees significantly lower than private pay rates of other outpatient therapy providers in order to reach more members of the community.
Once registered for a group, members commit to completing all sessions. Registration information will be sent after an application is approved.
Members may miss sessions as needed; however, there are currently no make-up opportunities or refunds for missed sessions.
Yes! Once current Aphasia Circle members are at week 3 in their groups, we offer them priority placement for signing up for an additional 6 weeks of sessions. We then offer any remaining spots in each group to those on our wait list.
All in-person communication group sessions are for group members only at this time. Support persons will receive weekly communication from the Speech-Language Pathologist, and are invited to attend caregiver/family support groups as they are announced.
